When we set out to replicate the tapping hand manipulations of professional estheticians with the ReFa I STYLE, we began with a roller design that featured wings in a uniform size. This created a sensation that was more like patting than tapping, so we went back to the drawing board. After testing a variety of wing sizes, we finally settled on a design that combined large and small wings to achieve the rhythmic tapping stimulation we desired. The tapping produced by the ReFa I STYLE is gentle enough to be used on bare skin, yet firm enough to be effective over a sheet mask.
